A fun session... at first we thought the weather wasn't going to hold out... but... the afternoon was awesome. I think we hit 68-70 with a slight breeze... I love Phoenix in the winter(I usethe term winter lightly) the summers... not so much.
My partner Kristy did a great job posing(IMO ) the kids. Couldn't do it without her! The little ones did well... even caught a couple of smiles. PURE LUCK!
Still doing the post work... here are a few which I think turned out pretty nice.
Hey Hatch, nice shots. Really like the warm colors of #3, and the #4 portrait. Can I ask as a fellow Phoenician where you took those? Not sure if I recognize it or not.

Thank you very much.
I am going to sound like a HUGE jerk after you have said such nice things... but... I can't spill the beans on the location. I will receive a beating from my partner if I do so... please forgive me.
Hatch, these are fantastic! The group shots are excellent all around, pose, lighting, backgrounds, and clothing choices! Love the girl's smile in #5. They'll be thrilled with this set.

Thank you very much Tim. I sure hope they like them and decide to buy something other than an 8x10.
I'm noticing a trend with all the families we have photographed recently... they all want to get a "big" print...and 8x10.
I hope they like the 16x20 we will have displayed for them when it comes time sales... if not... I guess it will make for a nice display.
No worries. It's funny that foliage and water becomes a trade secret down here. I remember seeing some flier advertising "the longest tree-lined street in Arizona" a few weeks ago.

I feel like such and A$$ for not saying anything... thanks for understanding.
It's sort of sad.... I know AZ has a lot to offer... wonderful desert scenes.... but... anything that is close to a fall scene... as you know...you have to go to Flag or Sedona...

great shots! mind sharing your setup?
Many thanks!
First 3...
Elinchrom Ranger RX/AS set to about 1/2 power... one "S" head... medium Chimera softbox about 6ft from the family....camera right. Just enough out of the scene I could see them and not the box.
Last 2
All natural light... no reflectors or anything... just covered shade. Shot with the 135L for most of the session. The 3rd shot by the water is with the 70-200L IS.
Hope this helps and thanks for the comments.
