I like both, David, but the first wins out in my eyes. Great abstract feel, beautiful toning. I really like the framing.
Second is interesting as well, and a fine photo. I think the bottom petal, pointing down, throws the balance off a bit.
Looking forward to more.

I'm loving these, David.
On the last, what about a bit of crop from the right, eliminating some or all of the triangle upper right quarter?
I'm gonna be interested to see what other feedback and advice you get on these.

Normally woth shallow DOF shots like these I prefer the color to make up for the lack of detail, but these have a certain glow about them that is very pleasing. The upper right corner of 1 does have an odd texture.

Great work!

#1 stands out to me because the focus is primarily limited to just the stamens.

In the other two there is a section of the petal in focus which competes with the stamen.

Well done,

I like the composition in #1 because of its unusual angle and abstract feel. The other two look less abstract but are not compelling compositions as flower shots. Their lighting is also less complimentary than #1.

They all exhibit some terrific detail and sharpness in the stamen areas. However, #1 and #3 suffer from some banding in the bright OOF areas. All is well, though, because #2 is my preferred composition.
