This week I shot a game between York University and UBC at the Canadian University women's soccer championship. The game started 45 minutes late due to the previous game going into extra time. It gave me the opportunity to shoot (1DMKIII c/w 300F2.8IS) starting out at ISO 800 and working up to 3200 which I had not done previously. I decided I got better results if I shoot at a higher shutter speed than 1/320 even if it meat cracking up the ISO. I think I got better shoots at ISO 3200 than 800 with faster shutter speeds. These shots are straight out of the camera just resized and a small amount of sharpening.
this are good images, but you might get better results if you sit at one of the ends that way you will get slightly better images casue they will be running towards you. i would have shot at a lower iso casue the mark iii does give alot of noise.
stevenharrington thanks for looking. I shot most of the game from the end of the field #5 & #7 you can see looking down the line. I would swing around to the side line to get a better look at goal on corners. I couldn't drop the ISO any lower my shutter speeds were to low and I would blurr my images.
