A few more from Collins Creek.
In order of shooting, working my way downstream.
1) I honestly can't decide if I like this one or not, but there's something about it..... Let me know your thoughts, and if you like it, a title?
2) Tiny cascade.
3) The main cascades from maybe 50 yards downstream.
Please enjoy. Any and all comments welcome.
Thanks,
I like the intimacy of the second, but the stair stepping comp of the third keeps my interest, though I would like to have a bit more height for the trees.
Thanks for sharing this place Barry...
I like the way you've composed that last one - very nice. It has real visual direction, pleasing colors, too. The first is interesting, but a little dizzying to look at - the eye isn't allowed to settle.
My favorite in this series is the third. I like the treatment of the water in this scene, and also the excellent depth. The second one is very pleasing also. Well done Barry.
I gotta go with the second one here Barry - the combination of leaf details and the water textures here are a very pleasant view for my eyes in a scene that makes a well balanced comp.
I think i am going to buck the trend here Barry becasue the first one is my favourite here. It is a little more abstract (which is not my normal preference) but its seems so much more dynamic and alive.
I like second one best, Barry, the lovely brown leaves in the water in contrast to the fresh water. Title for one, what about: water like down feathers?
Karl
I love the underwater leaves in the second. That is so cool. I like the third a lot. I would love the first if the central leaves were a bit different. They are kind of jumbled and I think that hurts the composition.
Thank you all very much! Glad you like my new shooting ground.
I wanted some verticals of the 3rd, Binh, but didn't have my wide angle lens with me, so I'll just have to go again. Zeph.....ditto! Rob, I felt something abstract about the 1st, too, but I just wasn't sure. Karl, very clever....may have to use that one!
Good observation, Sharon. I'll have to re-arrange them next time.
Thanks for the interesting responses on the first 2, also. My daughter prefers the 2nd, and I can't even settle my own mind.
