This was just for fun - not part of my flower series. I thought that I might try shooting some Pampas Grass but the final result didn't look very interesting so I decided to mess with it in PS a little. Please let me know how you like it.
Sort f resembles a pen and ink sketch, nice but not near the quality of your flowers. I just got back from Yosemite, way to much to interest a photographer, the weather was just glorious as was the change of season color.

Endre,
I looked at the first shot and thought, "Finally, I can stop throwing away my flower shots."
Then you screwed it up by posting your "throwaway" original version. I have one or two flower shots that are almost as good, but they need the color to work at all.
Sorry, but you're back on my S list, Endre .

Gosh, thanks Charlie. Do you mean that I ought to keep the "throwaway"? I don't think that inherently it is as interesting as most of the other flowers. Maybe some others want to weigh in on that. I'm happy to be able to remain on your s list.
All the best,
Endre

Endre, my friend, while the texture in the first shot image captures my attention and makes me look for a longer time, the second one just falls more gently on my sensitivities. Even after spending a bit of time comparing my reactions to the two, I prefer the second one without being able to explain why. Oh well.
Thanks, Cal,my good friend! I'm still not convinced that I like either one. The first, as I wrote, I did because i could. Obviously, it would have o place in my collection anyhow since it is the opposite of all the rest of them. The second - shot like I usually do all my flower shots - is just not as interesting a flower as I'd hoped.
Fond regards,
Endre
