Number them!
4 is a standard shot but love it. The extra color there is killer.
How do you like the 12-24 on the mk2?? I have been thinking of one for the 1ds2 and have heard mixed reviews on sharpness and qc.

Thanks aF. what do you mean "number them"?
The 12-24 is really good for what it is made to do (wide). Yes there are the standard Sigma QC issues so you may or may not get a good one the first time around. I think I got a good one and I always MF at 10x on the LCD so I don't have issues of back-focus, etc. Ideally if you purchase one in-store, I would test several with MF and compare.
That first shot is actually cropped to 4:3 as the 3:2 aspect was too wide. On my trip up the Narrows in Sept I went crazy with verticals at 12mm and had to ditch most of them when I pulled them up on the computer as they were too wide and gave a tunneled look with the way the water and canyon walls converged on each other, so composition is critical. Also you can't use filters with it. I ordered a 105mm CPL thinking I could hold it up in front and I can but even though it is very large, you can still see the rim at 12mm and in most cases there reflections here and there from the glass so that's not going to work. Those issues aside, I'm glad I purchased it but I think I will get either the 16-35 or 17-40 also, for cases where I need filters.
