About a month ago, I purchased Lightroom 2.5 and have been using it several times a week.. One of the first catalogs I created, no longer will open in Lightroom. Any ideas? I have not changed or relocated files and the catalog is still listed as a recent file. The computer does say "the catalog is being opened" but, it just hangs. All the other catalogs seem to open quickly.

Is there a recovery file or a way to check if the file is valid? Not sure what to do at this point. I need to access the catalog for printing Senior portraits. Luckily, I do have Jpgs created from the RAW just in case.

Well, I'm not sure why but, the problem seems to be with the back up of the file. When I reboot my computer and tried to open the Catalog, it asked if I'd like to back up, back up in a week, skip, or another option I can not remember. Each time previously I picked skip and the computer would hang up and never open the catalog. This time, I asked it to back up the catalog and it opened immediately. Seems like I figured out how to open the catalog but now I have another mystery. Anyone?
