If they don't send the password within a half hour use the FORGOT PASSWORD to get it. I waited for a couple of days trying to get one using 3 different registration processes before trying the forgot password link and it cost me 2 free days. The tutorials are quite good but many repeat a lot of what's in others by different teachers.
"why pay someone to learn something you should get for free?"
I'm guessing that you work for free with an attitude like that. I was taught that skill & experience had value, and that it's not too smart to hire someone without either to do a complicated job in return for my money. Maybe you should run for public office & then try to get the teachers in your part of the world to work for free, which would really lower educational costs. It may also lower the caliber of your school system back to the dark ages though. What an attitude.

I feel like I work for free sometimes. FYI, public school is "free".
You COMPLETELY missed my point. I'm simply providing my tutorials for free... In fact, if I could provide a free tutorial for everything I know about Photoshop or even photography in general, I would.
I'm not saying teachers shouldn't get paid. In fact, my future in-laws are both professors at a university and in my opinion, they don't even make enough money for the amount of work they do. Also, I'm not saying professionals with skill and experience shouldn't get paid either. In fact, if I could host a training seminar of my own and charge $100 or $200 a seat, I would. But that is completely different.... It costs me nothing (virtually nothing, the software to screencast set me back $100 of my own money) to create a short video tutorial that I can share with other people. The only people that might loose out are the people who are charging for the same information in the same format elsewhere. (Again, if I went to a class and sat down to learn person to person, I'd gladly pay them for that. I've even been to a number of Kelby Training seminars and paid to attend.)
My apologies, it sounded like you meant that tutorials in general should be free. If you are willing to give yours out for free that's a very different matter & I commend you for doing so.
As for public school it's anything but free unless you're on social assistance. We all pay taxes to support it, and we aren't given a choice to opt out.
True, my tax dollars are well spent on schools in my area. Shame is that some areas squander the money and it shows. But that's a whole other thread. I used quotes around "free" to try and make it more clear that I didn't mean literally free. (It's hard to translate things like that across text.)
It's OK, I'm used to being misunderstood. Heck, I frequently say the wrong thing meaning another. (Such as "I don't think that looks good on you" gets mistaken for "I think you're fat" frequently, regardless of my intended meaning. )
On a side note, if my package from B&H shows up today, I will be working on a test review and video tutorial on the X-Rite ColorChecker Passport and Lightroom's built in camera profile system. I also did a comparison of several different skin softening methods last night that I hope to post later this weekend also.
Thank you very much. I loved the white teeth vid. The fastest way I have seen. I am used to going around the teeth, so it took alot longer. Your talking is well done also, unlike some other where the speaker goes "uummmm", "aaahhhh", and makes it drag on. Your vids were easy to listen to. Keep it up, your work is appreciated!
