These are beautiful shots, Number 1 evokes all sorts of emotion and embodies a cat enjoying the sun, but you can, at the same time, feel that it might explode at any moment to action, Well done!!

Awesome shots Joe. Where in FL did you take these? I'd like to get a shot of a FL panther someday as well, preferably in the wild if possible. The first one is my pick.
My vet says that it's "supersensory" mode. They actually shut out all but the sense they want to concentrate on. I got concerned because one of my cats did it occasionally and brought it up to the vet on a visit. I still get her to do it by petting her a certain way. Fresh catnip does it, too.
Actually, it has more to do with smell and taste, but mine does it with petting.
