Thanks, Alan, Eric, Ray and Tim.
I'm probably reading too much into the expressions of the two kids in the first photo, but it seems as though the boy is typically fearless in the stupid way that we all were at that age, whereas the girl has suddenly realized what she has done and is part-way through screaming about her lack of sensibility in taking the damn thing in the first place.
In the second shot, the girl is having a really happy-yet-terrified scream, securely held by Mom, who seems to be enjoying it very much also. Look carefully: there are five hands and five footsies showing in this photograph .

Ah...too funny. I totally missed the little one tucked inbetween on the second shot! These are a couple of great and fun shots. I actually remember having one of those giant slides in Spokane when I was a kid. You had to sit on a burlap sack as seen here. Wow! I AM old!

Thanks T-bone and sjkk.
I also had to look carefully to detect the middle child in the second pic. I was spotting out the dust marks and realized there was an arm that seemed to belong to no one. Then I saw the extra foot.
Burlap was cheap and stuck to your clothes and went like crazy down the slide- perfect.
