p.1 #1 · Apple iMac 27" - where to buy memory upgrade?

I am looking to possibly upgrade my new iMac 27" with additional ram. Needless to say, Apple sells the memory at very high price....

Are there reputable dealers that sell fully compatible RAM memories for the iMAC 27"? I eventually will want 16GB in total, running CS4 and C1 Pro....

Ditto on Crucial Technology. If you follow their script for identifying your model Mac, you can be sure of getting exactly the correct RAM, and at a good price. I'm here to tell you that that's not always the case with some vendors.

Thanks. Is the cost to buy an additional 8GB memory (hence, 12GB total) worth $488USD from a PS/C1 performance perspective? I use it for PS and C1 purpose, without any extreme hardcore PS work.

Yea, to upgrade to 12gb and especially 16gb cost so much... Considering the computer cost 2K.
16GB (4x4gb) is like 1K.
