p.1 #1 · October wedding - 29 shots

Had a great time with this couple. We hit it off at the first meeting at the bride's house; mom & dad were present, the groom came later. They insisted on an outdoor ceremony. It was a colder, kind of blustery day - have a look at the arch detail .. We were so lucky it stayed dry and that the sun managed to throw some light through those clouds.

Anyway, here's 29 shots. Thanks for looking, and as always - feedback appreciated.

That shot above is great!

some really nice images - overall its top notch stuff....but many of them have me scratching my head.

Was this pile of dirt and leaves special to the bride and groom? What am I missing?

^ Thanks for the compliment. Those little girls too large stockings were the cutest thing ever.

As for the leaves - don't know WHAT to tell you. They're just there.

I agree with the above comments and also not too sure about some of the noise in these especially in #9 and #27. Also your images seem really tight... the only one that has any breathing space is #27. That one works because it allows your eye to wander the image and take everything in... solid set would need a mix of both.

I take it that this was your first wedding assignment?

Are you adding dust and noise back into these?

No, but no noise reduction either. The one's you're referring to are high ISO (1250 / 1600) on a 1D classic body. Personally, I don't mind the filmy look. I realize with the huge ISO capabilities of modern bodies it is not common to see grain, noise whatever anymore, however, I personally don't think it's an issue. Nor do my clients, apparently, and that's what's most important.

Thanks for looking!

There is a lot of noise in your pics and then there is a some dirt that could have been cropped out of #17. My favorite is #10.

The pics with the shoe looks out of place.

I really enjoyed this set! Started out a bit weird (e.g. 1), but some very nice classical shots here

Shots like 1 and 15 and 17 don't add much value imo

9, 27 way too noisy...good NR will do wonders here (maybe not for 27, it has a lot of "snow"). 9 a bit of softening would be nice

3 - a bit sloppy on the edges, you'll need to crop that

Otherwise, a lot of very nice shots!!

btw is the crop factor a bit awkward if they want 6X4 or 8X12 or something?

Ahh 1d classic. Honestly the noise sorta detracts from the images for me. The Moire pattern you see in that one image is due to resizing probably.
