David, I really like these images, especially the color and vertical line of the first one, and how the trees in the background give it depth. I also like the color and texture of the second one, but the curvature throws me off. Nice work.

Ernie... thanks. Holding the camera"straight on" to the scene allows for straighter lines, whereas panning the camera from low to high with a little twist results in the curvature of the lines.
Binh Ly, Wayne, reddevil, and Steve... thanks for the encouragement - much appreciated. #1 is fast becoming a favorite of mine, and will probably get it printed large just to see how it looks.
