The pale is definitely intentional, though not for the strobed look, just the style. No, not luminance or any slider, for that matter.. TY all for the feedback, hope to follow up sooner then later.
God, no! TRA actions = blehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. No offense to anyone else, I use actions in my PP all the time that I've made, just no tra stuff. I'm not comfortable putting it out there what is being done until I know for sure I've got it nailed, and they have a way to go still.

I like the bw better, as far as how its done I am really not gonna lose sleep over it. If JC wants us to know we will know if not then we won't and will just have to practice more!
nice shots

By strobed do you mean on camera flash? #1 does look like you used an on camera flash where the light fall off is alot, thats why I do not use a flash on the camera....gives that tunnel look where the subject is well lit but everthing else not so much.
To me strobes are used to slightly highlight the subject and to minimize light fall off, if that is what your after then it's not even close...if you are after a flash on the camera look...then it's pretty good.

I like the shot Jeremy, but I hate to have to ask... why not get it closer to right "in camera" versus going thru the trouble of making something look as nice as if you had placed a light on a stand anyways?
I do like #1 more than #2 for what it's worth... and do look forward to seeing how you did this... I understnad that sometimes lugging lights isn't always practical...

I like the colored one, but it still looks strobed. I guess with enough PS anyone can make a photo looked strobed. I am unsure what you are going for here. It is a good shot though.

To a client, the first is probably fine; but to a photographer, it just looks like purposely burning to me. Same with the second, except I'd think you went black & white to cover exposure issues. That's just my opinion anyway. I personally wouldn't buy either as a client. (just being honest)
