Thanks, I am sure that is part of the reason they have never had any maulings there that I know of. It is a litle unnerving walking through the deep forrest to the viewing area crossing many trails that are several feet deep leading to the river. The trails are so deep because so many bears over the years have walked down them. I did have serveral encounters with bears, but they are totally focused on fishing. and the other bears.
