p.2 #1 · First ever Family Portrait session C&C

Hey thanks a lot! , yeah now I realize that that image here on FM is suppose to be me... oops..

Maybe sometime we can grab a beer... I would be interested in having someone else to bring along for some possible wedding work in the future!

9&10 are the standouts as others have said. No need to start an argument about using skin smoothing vs not but it's not my taste. I have a photographer I work with that uses it on everything and I just don't care for it..so we agree to disagree . #11, I would like to see this image but with the 4 of them walking AT you. Maybe you did this, but I can imagine some fun/interaction shots from the perspective you took.

Totally up for both the beer and shooting together. I'm actually second shooting for a fellow FM-er tomorrow... looking forward to that.

Brian,

I largely agree with you on the smoothing.. and as I mentioned, the more I look at the pics the more I feel like I went overboard on this set

Yeah #11 was actually a shot as they were walking towards the spot I wanted them to walk to, to then turn around and come towards me for "the shot" ... as it turned out this pose ended up being enormously more flattering to the mom than any of the "walking towards me" shots... the walking towards me are IMHO basically straight recycle-bin material on account of how mom looks in them. I'm not a huge fan of 11 either actually... just kept it in mainly as a blog context-filler. No expectation that the client would ever want to print it
