p.1 #1 · Zuiko to Canon adapters--HappyPage

I have a cheap no name adapter from ebay that I use on my Zuiko 18mm but I have never been completely happy with the infinity focusing. It seemed to be okay, until I looked at the Zuiko 18mm Image thread, and then I realized my shots are simply not focused as sharply as they should be.

I would like to get a HappyPage adapter, but I can't seem to find a link on his ebay page to anything but Contax and Leica

Can someone help me with a link. Or a suggestion of a different adapter that would give me the infinity focus on the Zuiko (and where to get it)?

Thanks.

Lorin

Are you sure its not the lens itself needing adjustment?

My Zuiko 100/2.8 can't infinity focus with my eBay OM adapter, but my other Zuikos (24/2.8, 35/2, 300/4.5) work great to infinity. I suspect I'll have to break it open one of these days to adjust infinity focus.

I'm looking for good Zuiko adaptor to mount the 28mm 3.5 to my 5Dmk2. Any recommendations? I assume that it will clear the mirror and I won't need to alter the lens. Is that correct?

Thanks for any advice. This would be my first non-Canon glass attempt.

Carl, although having a good adaptor is always best, dont forget that anything other than the cheap chinese ebay adapters will cost more than the lens itself!
And in the case of the better adaptors, they could cost as much as three times as much!

However, if you plan on buying more zuiko's...

I bought three Kindai adaptors a couple of years ago when I first got my Canon camera. They were expensive but I had been shooting with OMs for decades already, and had several of the "hero" Zuikos. Two of the three were nice and tight; the third (in an identical box) is a slightly different design which works as well but is looser and, I suspect, not very dust-tight. All of them work well and focus to infinity. I had the advantage of course of knowing the lenses were good since they were mine.

Kindai didn't do English or credit cards so I got mine from www.japan-hobby-tool.com. Be patient with them, they appear to be a microbusiness. They took a few days to respond but then emailed, debited my card and shipped promptly. Possibly they were away taking photos. The adaptors are ~ US$160 each with a discount for buying more than one.

I just bought the latest Nikon-EOS AF confirm adapter from big_is on ebay for 50 dollars, which is extremely well made compared to the cheap ones. Also it is quite easy to install the information on the chip. Really a good buy, and I think they got one for OM-EOS as well.

I have the Olympus OM-EOS AF confirm adapter from big_is and it works very well. I agree with Andre's assessment. I think this is a good option for adapting an Olympus OM lens as these seem to work well with most adapters. That said Rudy at happypagehk has been very good to work with in my experience and if you email him he is very responsive. If you want an OM adapter from him, then I think he would let you know how long before they will be in stock.

I use a Fotodiox adapter and have been very pleased with it. Excellent fit and finish.
