Welcome to the Dark Side.
You'll have to get used to the accurate focus, film like noise, and ridiculously nice zooms.
What Nikon does to Canon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTbCvixekuc&feature=related
lmao Saad!
After using the 1d Mark III and Mark II previously I've tried the D700 and it didn't quite fit my hands well (yes! I've tried it with the grip as well). I gave up on the idea of switching, but tried the D3 and it was the love in first sight. Many little things make it awesome to use. One example being I don't have to press any buttons to switch from Continuous to single AF (which I use a lot), I can just switch it without taking my eyes off the VF. Also I completely forgot about out of focus photos. Everything in focus, period!
To be fair, I still miss little things about Canon.
After almost one year of using Nikons, it's still annoying that Nikon's lenses screw in different direction. Files from 5D original were pleasure to work with in terms of colors in LR. I seem to struggle to get accurate skin tones Vs. what I had with 5D. 1D MIII on the other hand is no match to D3 imho. D3 wins! (for my needs)
Also having iso 50 was a god send in bright sun
All and all, I am very happy with my decision, I am sure you will like it too! Enjoy!
