Spent some time trying to salvage a slow shooting day with some Mew Gulls diving and feeding. All shot as the sun was almost all the way down with some light fog to the west further filtering the light.
Good looking Mews, Tim!
Where where you? Over at Keystone or Flagler??
I almost went over today. I stayed in Port Townsend--the Oystercatchers are back!

Thanks Bonnie!
These were at Keystone. I headed up to Fir to shoot Snow Geese but they were nowhere to be found What a shame, the light was real nice. So we took the scenic route home down Whidbey. Drove along the lake a few time. The harriers were there on the first pass, I saw the male but I'm not happy with the shots, need to do some MA calibration I think.
Nice industrial shot Tim #1 looks great, nice catchlight and nice pose. #2 is a great shot with the wing flare and the sweet light that fills them.......I like this shot buddy!
Nice eye contact in all of these Tim. Like your environmental one too and good to see a pic of your shooting locality!
You got some fast ss in this low light. How are you finding the Mk3 in this respect compared to the 40 and 50Ds you had?
The exif data is a bit weird though on the ss for the last two gull ones! You would need a calculator to work those out
