p.1 #1 · 7D at Troy vs. LA Monroe

Tested my new 7D at Movie Gallery Stadium at Troy U. I AM PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!! This camera is very responsive and capable of handling Div. Football. Most of the images were shot at 2500 and 3200 ISO, with a 300mm 2.8 non IS.

Old Faithful 1D

MKIII w/ 70-200 2.8 non IS

Were any of the 7d images cropped in closer in post?

I like 7D #5

thanks guys....

the only one would be 7D #1, buy not so much.

images were shot in M Raw. and had to use the LR3 Beta to process to jpeg.

On my monitor the first three 7D pics look a little warm. Great action though, it certainly looks like you didn't have any problem tracking with it.

White balance seems to be way off, and very little contrast in these pictures...

They looked oddly tinted to me as well. I saw green, but *shrug*.

Hope the OP doesn't mind, but I edited one image a bit.

I've now seen these images on two different calibrated monitors and would agree.

WB appears to be totally out of whack--especially if the OP shot raw and had a chance to fix somthing like this in post--and they are flat and lack any pop.

glad you guys mentioned that...at first I thought the same. figured it was my monitor because I don't have my Spider with me right now.

Interesting enough, I shoot raw and use a target card, BUT am using the LR3 Beta to convert the Raw files. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

VERY odd cuz I've shot at this stadium many a times.

don't know....i've only shot RAW with the camera so far.

I shot an image with the target card with the 1D, MkIII, and 7D...all three measure around 4750-4900K. I wonder if something happened during the process from RAW to jpeg.
