p.1 #1 · ACR missing in CS3

Had to re-format my laptop and re-install CS3. When I did, Bridge does not show "Edit in Camera Raw" from the preview screen. I'll try deleting and re-installing Bridge, but does anyone have any suggestions? Adobe's site has ACR 5.5 but it is only for CS4.

Appreciate any suggestions.

First you need ACR 4.6 for CS3 its on the Adobe site http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4038

Make sure you install it where it belongs. "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS3\File Formats\Camera Raw.8bi"

If it does not work in Photoshop CS3 and Bridge CS3 reset their preferences.

You can also download ACR 5.x extract the files in its zip file and install only the Camera Profile exe from that package these will work with ACR 4.6

When you double click on a RAW file in Bridge it opens ACR.

If it doesn't work, look at your preferences, make sure "Double-Click Edits Camera Raw Settings in Bridge" is checked.

Install in the correct folder, as Mr Mouse said. It's also a good idea to scan your hard drive for every copy of ACR and delete any old copies you find in other folders.
