To get back to Buttermilk Falls (Plymouth, CT). If I want to kill an hour or two while the Giants are losing it's only 20 minutes away and it's always a little different.
2 shot (landscape) pano. http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2X_procj.jpg
lucky to have that so close, you must have a collection of images from there. A waterfall pano, i bet that was not easy, nicely done.
Thanks Travis and yes I do have quite a collection of the area. As for the pano it wasn't as difficult as it may seem as it was only 2 shots and just a matter of lining a single point up as you scroll down (assuming you keep everything level). mike, there is a certain crispness and 3d to this exposure that makes it very appealing!
Thank you Binh, glad you liked it.
Very nice, Mike. I hope to get up that way over the Thanksgiving holiday time. If the weather is decent on Wed. the 25th, I plan on coming over from the Danbury area.
Very nice really like your POV here and your choice of shutter speed works very nicely here, the fallen fall leaves really add a nice touch here to the already very cool capture
Very nice, Mike. I hope to get up that way over the Thanksgiving holiday time. If the weather is decent on Wed. the 25th, I plan on coming over from the Danbury area. Do you ever see any wild turkeys in that area?
Thanks Ed, just a couple of options when you get up here (depending on your time allotment). Southford Falls is just off of 84 between Danbury and Plymouth and the falls at Humaston Brook are about 20 minutes away from Buttermilk Falls.
I've never seen any turkeys in the area of the falls but that doesn't mean they're not around. Nice one, Mike, a fine composition with appealing colors, tones and textures. It pulls you in.
Thanks Bob, glad you liked it. Very nice shot! Especially appreciate your choice of shutter speed.....most excellent. No sympathy for the Giants......you should be a Rams fan this year.
Thanks Fo, back in the days of Roman Gabriel I was a die hard Rams fan but times change... Very nice really like your POV here and your choice of shutter speed works very nicely here, the fallen fall leaves really add a nice touch here to the already very cool capture
Thanks you Ray, the fallen leaves also add a bit of intrigue since you can't be sure of your footing. Very nice flow of water captured. Just the right amount of smoothness & energy.
Yep, it probably soothed your sorrows over the Giants
Appreciate it Dan. No sorrows over the Giants, just something I've come to expect.
