Ted, that's it buddy, I am going to the same hobby shot that you and Duane go to and get me one of these radio controlled eagles to photograph buddy
Seriously the shot is cool. The eye contact is there, and there is a story being told with the fish and those talons and the water trailing off that this one was just plucked out of the water! Suggestion, open up the shadows a bit to bring more detail to the talons and underwing area. If needed perhaps if you are OK with it add a spark of saturation to the legs. Cool image and I like it!!
As always Karl I appreciate your suggestions and will experiment. I always do. Sometimes it takes the suggestion. We have to get together someday and counter the "Zoom West Coast Agenda".

Super shot, Ted. Great to see you got a shot of an eagle with a tracking device. Nice detail, pose and eye -- and with a fish to boot!!! Awesome.
Cris:

WHOE Ted great capture on both. From the looks of both I have to say that beak tells me a nice looking female. Now that second one is proberly just a bit off color as I am sure that band is purple and even on this one I can make a numbe 3.
Would you be good enough to send me a fair resolution of about 300PPI @ about 4MB of this one so I can try for the band for you. Please if you do can you tell me the date and time an about where you were able to make this capture. I am sure it is one tagged by the W&M University most likely on the Aberdean Proving grounds by trapping. Maryland gave up banding about 1984. However the color purple was also used for the Stare of Virgina so if it was banded as a nesting eaglet I may be able to get a nest photo for you. I promise you get full credit and I'll even spell your name right. Again as I said on the PM back to you just now my email is on my web home page. www.loubuscher.com. Thanks Ted
Lou

What an excellent capture of an equally impressive BOP. Our wedgetails are large birds but no where near as striking as the BE. Well done, can I ask where you were positioned to take this shot? Was it on a boat or a raised bank?
