For anyone that cares and having handling problems with the voigt I decided to do a head to head against my Contax 35 2.8 with a view that if they were equal I would let the voigt go and enjoy the easy handling of the Contax lens.
Not a scientific test exactly because I shot hand held @ ISO 400 giving a shutter speed of 1/500th although I would have thought that with the original hood on the Contax that enabled a really good support in my left hand that might just tip the scales but the Voigt walked all over the contax lens in general. Maybe it`s not as fair as it could be because at 50% they are close but push up to 100% and the difference becomes apparent.
Just a shame the voigt goes way past infinity  Now I must see what I have as far as a decent hood for the voigt to protect the front element. Yeh! I know the original hood is designed to be small and take the supplied close up lens but it`s very small for general use.
I`ll stick some 100% crops up on pbase if anyone wants.
