http://www.engadget.com/2009/10/30/sony-alpha-a750-keeps-with-tradition-leaks-out-ahead-of-release/

There are a lot of people who have been waiting for the a700 replacement. Looks like it will be full frame and just over 14MP! This should do wonders for it's low light abilities which would definitely fill a gap in the Sony lineup. The price should be quite amazing given it will fall below the $1999 a850. My bet is somewhere between $1299 - $1499. This might end up being a great sister/backup camera to those of us with the a900/a800.

Quite impressive if they can pull off another coup. For almost everything except birding and sports FF is superior, I hope it's compact.

Apparently, there are a lot that doubt this new camera will be FF.

They certainly wont be competing for the 7d/d300s market if it isn't crop, although I guess they could be trying to woo all the croppers into a full frame system.

If it IS full frame, I cannot wait to see canikon's response!

I too would immediately doubt that it is full frame, as it would be an entirely new chip, for a non-flagship product. I suppose time will tell. One thing is for sure, it's the same resolution as many of their prior APS-C chips.

For me there is still the issue of lenses I wish Sony would spend the next 24 months and come out with some primes in the 24-50 range; to be more precise non-exotic cz primes (i.,e small and light).

The resolution does make it look like they will be using the same piece of s#%^ chip as their entry models.

Talk about suicide.

The pentaprisim sure does not look full frame.

If you look closely, it is the exact same photo as the a700. The only difference appears to be that the front element of the lens has been tinted differently. The body is the same, same angle, same exact lighting and so forth. My bet is that that photo is just a placeholder because it certainly is not a new photo of a new camera.

The A750 won't be full frame, especially not if it looks like the camera in the "leak". It will likely use the same sensor as the A550 (14mp CMOS 1.5x crop) with up to ISO12800.
Most Sony guys just really hope that three things are improved upon... The AF system (more accurate sensors, and more double cross sensors), high ISO noise, and >7fps continuous shooting.
The A700 is a great camera to use, very natural feeling, and tons of buttons and switches that make sense with their locations.

I'm happy with the A700, so I won't really be spending every breath waiting for specs to come out.
