I realize that it may be difficult for some to accept what they do as an artistic endeavor rather than a business. To examine whether they are on track to meet their goals from a non-prejudice position. Potentially having to make adjustments and move in a different direction.
Actually my artistic endeavor is a business. Having done this for 15 years, I'm well aware that 10% is artistic and 90% is business. I know that simply because I learned by doing. Have I had to make adjustments? Every step of the way.
For me I am hoping to avoid as many pitfalls in what I settle on accomplishing. By learning as much as possible prior to putting my time, energy and dreams towards something that will allow me to reach my goals of enjoyment and reward.
My intentions are not to insult you but this all sounds rather naive. I really don't know how old you are, what your level of work experience may be but if it were all as simple as you would like it to be, don't you think we'd all be doing it by now? And if finding a lucrative job were that easy why would anyone simply give you the secret of their success. Heck if I had the answer to your question, I'd write a book about it, sell it for $24.95, hit the lecture circuit, and retire early. But then again, there are already thousands of books on "how to make millions in 10 easy steps..." so why bother?
There is no secret formula, magic wand, or shortcut to success. Even the get-rich-quick books will tell you that it still takes initiative and effort. Besides, nothing ever stays the same. Like the stock market, what's lucrative today, might completely tank tomorrow.
Basically: do what you love, love what you do, do it honestly and with integrity, do it with conviction, devote your time, effort, and energy to it, and hopefully at the end of the day it will be everything you hoped for.
And thank you I do take pleasure in how some will try to re-work what I asked.
Well, I'm glad you take pleasure in something, that's a start. I really don't see how anyone "re-worked" what you asked. I think that the problem was in the question itself, as it was written and people have responded accordingly. This is a place to ask questions but not to be spoon-fed.
Perhaps trying to bait me for some sport.
If you say so.
