Cross post from Alt image 3.

Rokkor 58/1.2 @f/1.2 (first two images) and @f/2.8 (last one). Hand held, I think that I had 12mm extension in there two, but I can't remember.

Oh yes, the Rokkor with extension tubes is faboulus too!
While my conversion to EF mount I hesitated - probably it is bettet not to reach infinity but to have direct access to nearer objects. But I made it ti infinity, and use the extension tubes often.

Here some more distand images - full open the lens has a lovely softening I like.

Stopped down the lens is sharp enough for my EOS 5D - I often didnīt pack the Zeiss 85/1.4 into my bag since I have the Rokkor.

I read that nude or "sexual" images are not allowed, but the links to the images:

What do you mean by flangeless and what body are you converting for?

Thanks,
Roy

Using 20D presently. Flangeless is adapter without the flange for the pin on the M42 lens mount.

Roy

That's probably it. To be honest, I am a little clueless to which flange and where on the mount was meant, but here is the seller:

That e-bay listing shows precisely what flanged vs. flangeless means. Just look at the photos.

For the conversion, use the flangeless.

Roger that! I asked the guy to ship the flangeless one. I just really hope he does. Until I saw the photos I was under the impression that by flange the groves on top surface of the adaptor were meant.. just like on my Kenko adaptor...

Is 375 euros a fair price for the Rokkor (in Exc condition)? I can't exactly afford it now with the recent lens purchases I've made, but that might change. I'm toying with the idea anyway.

It sounds fair for an unconverted copy. What is the serial?

I won an auction right now for 204 EUR!

It is my number six and it's the Berg-and-Tal PG version, (most favorite for me).

I sold the previous five after conversion and some use, because I did not fancy them that much, unlike so many other people. The pictures have always been a bit more yellow-ish than with all other lenses I use. Although this can be avoided easily, I always found it annoying.

But somehow I find myself looking for them at ebay again and again .
At that price I could not resist.
Soon I will start a new conversion project.
It will be the first of that kind that I try on my new acquired 5Dii. I am corious if I am going to like it better, this time.

Max,
The search for a good copy ... I hope you have found one. In my own experience, serial numbers tells nothing. A good copy will.
Regards,
P
