My brother is a quartback for the University of Nebraska at Omaha Mavericks. It is a d2 school that offered him a full 5 year scholarship. My mom wanted me to get out there and take some shots of him because she only trusts me to get the best shots (haha she is precious) He is playing a broken toe and torn ligaments. He cannot run - rather he sort of hobbles john elway style.

He went down again midway through the 2nd Quarter and was carted off to the locker room. He didnt return for the 2nd quarter but he suprisingly did play almost the entire 2nd half. He was in a lot of pain but still played great completing 24 passes for 289 yards and touchdown. This is one of the last time he will step onto a football field after an amazing 15 year career.

This is true freshman Levi Terrell who rushed for a career high 225 yards and one touchdown

This poor guy had his Femur broken by his own teammate. He will need surgery if he wants to play football again.

May I mention that these are shot will all my own gear! I just bought a used 300mm 2.8 from a friend...but I have my eyes on MSauks 400mm...

Nice set Dann - your mom's scrapbook will be complete now. Always hard to stay focused after watching a family member get injured. I've had that happen with my son in football and wrestling. Glad to hear he came back on. for the second half.

Looks like you had nice cloud cover for the game. I'll take that and a bit of drizzle over a harsh high noon sun.

Solid images. Looks like Greg is/was having a solid season at quarterback. Looks like if he was 3 or 4 inches taller he might have gone to some bigger schools. As a former quarterback I always hated taller quarterbacks

Nice Images, and a great story. 7 & 8 aren't the type of images I usually save, but as part of a photo story about your brother, they'd do well. I'm sure your mother was very happy with your shots.

Great set made greater by the back story... A couple that probably wouldn't make the keeper pile (#8 for example) but it fits with your story. Colors are great and shots are sharp. Good job.

Great shots. I've shot some stuff of my younger brother. He's a golfer at UPenn, he's injured this year but next year I'll go out to a few of his tournaments and photograph him.
