p.1 #1 · buying outside the US

In general, does it matter to me if I buy a lens from Australia than the US. A recent post in the BUY/SELL section mentioned how tough it is for those in Australia to sell on this forum. Sorry, I'm to new to this to know the difference (if there is any)
