p.1 #1 · Monitor Calibration for Multiple Monitors

Many co-workers and I use two monitors in our day to day activities. The pair I have are so different in how they display, it is rather distracting at times. I've decided that purchase of a calibration tool may be the answer. If you wanted to make this purchase and knew it would be used on perhaps as many as 100 different monitors, what would you buy? Nearly all monitors are either Dell or Gateway flat screen and all are used for business applications and just a few are used with PS or other photography related software. Thanks in advance.

honestly, it's probably not worth it for 99% of business apps. you could eyeball the colors.

Thanks for the reply howardm4. Thats what I am thinking, but the goal is to have the screens display more evenly than it is for getting them calibrated for photography apps. In some cases the difference in side by side monitors is amazing.

The way I approach it (still using high end, Trinitron based CRT's) is to adjust the hardware (RGB bias/gain) to get a neutral d5000 grayscale, as measured by a colorimeter. The it's a simple matter to profile and apply the profile to each respective monitor.
