I would like a way of wirelessly controlling a camera remotely via an iPhone, with live view. Unfortunately, I don't think this exists. Right now I think it can only be done with a PC (not a Mac) and wireless USB devices.

Things that do exist: I'd like another underwater housing and strobe, I'd like a kite and a new compact camera for KAPing, and I'd like a 10m carbon-fiber carp fishing pole for PAP (pole aerial photography).

You and I have similar "wishes."

Inexpensive and reliable (for pro gig) aerial (low altitude) gear is something I have wanted for years (about 8 now).

If you have links to anything related to this, please send me a link via PM.

One of the things I like about the Canon 500D is that it is small and lightweight and I am hoping to use it in the future for some "remote" shooting while suspended from a balloon, kite, or pole. Though at this point I have not researched the current state of the art for remote viewing and triggering, it is an area I am curious to explore.

Some time ago I saw a cam put on a RC helicopter and it got me thinking again about the possibilities (and fun) for unusual POV work.

My wish list.

1. Canon 7D (from my current 30D)
2. 10-22mm lens- its hard to capture all the grandeur of places like Zion NP without an Ultra Wide, although my plastic fantastic did a good job.
3. A lightweight tripod because carrying a full size Bogan/Manfrotto with ball head up a mountain is just too exhausting.
4. Radio Poppers because my current "ebay remote" doesn't do HSS!

My cup is empty, must rush up for a refill. Ahh, thats better.

This is what a lot of us really want: A cloaking device that works for camera lenses.

A larger printer is the more likely scenario, not the monster size, just bigger than 8.5x11.

Hmmmm, a wish list

How about:
Canon 500mm f/4 IS AF
A Netbook for travel to download images too.
GPS software for the Netbook and a GPS reciever.
A gimbal tripod mount
Noise reduction software
A good tutorial for PS4
Less time PP and more time in the out in the field
A perfect photo of the Doctor Bird from Jamaica

There could be more wishes, I have been looking in the "I Want Book".

This is fun. So pretty much listing solely all of my material desires, here's the list. In no particular order.

1) Nikon D3s
2) Nikon 24-70 f2.8
3) Nikon 70-200 f2.8 VR
4) Nikon 60mm f2.8 Macro
I really just want to have a high quality professional DSLR system and be done with it. And this is all I will ever really need in the department. I only use a DSLR for studio stuff, sports, and lazy days.

7) Leica 28mm f2 Summicron ASPH

I have a Leica M8 with an M9 on order. And just want some great lenses to use. My M8 does 97% of the work I do.

I want a faster and more easily upgradeable computer than the iMac I have now. It runs fine. but being able to easily add loads of Hard Drives internally would make life simpler. And a huge LCD would be lovely. The Windows laptop would be great for travel and playing games on the couch/ watching DVD's in bed.

13) Vespa GTS 300 Super in White
I have my motorcycle license. And a scooter would make getting to assignments super easy. Especially when it comes to parking.

14) Canon PIXMA Pro9500 Mark II
I'd like to be able to make larger prints than 8.5x11. And even start framing them rather than keeping them in albums.

15) Sony 52" Bravia Z LCD Television
I just want a big TV. What guy doesn't.

16) 2010 Dodge Caliber SXT in Orange
My car is six years old now and has reached the point where I'm making a major repair every year. It's also kind of ugly looking now. And the drivers window is busted from being broken into.

17) Piper Warrior III
I had my private pilot certificate once. it expired two years ago and would like to get it renewed. And once I do that I'd love to have my own private plane. Not even anything fancy. just something to get me from place to place on a whim.

That's pretty much all I want/would get even if I won the lottery. Hopefully Santa is reading.
