p.1 #1 · Improving the look of battered hardwood floors in CS2

Hey all - fairly new to this forum - hoping to get a little photoshop advice.

I'm trying to figure out how improve the look of the hardwood floors in this photo - I tried using the patch tool and bringing some of the better looking floor over, and then applying a slight blur, but didn't really give me the effect I was hoping for. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Photo197726,

Try starting with the spot healing brush on a new layer. This brush can be used to remove the light scratches in the floor. Some dodging and burning along with a little cloning can be used to even the color of the floor a bit.

I spent just a couple of minutes and got the results below. There are lots of talented people on this site, so I am sure you will get some more ideas.

That's definitely an improvement. Thanks for the tip.
