Does anyone have experience good or bad with the Lyson Continuous Ink System on the 2200? If so, I'd like to know what to do when the inks aren't recognized by the printer software (how to override the message and print anyway); and whether or not your "ink out" warning on the software disappears if you just turn the printer off for a few seconds.
I'm unable to clear the "ink out" message from one of the cartridges that remains (of course) full of ink.
Hi
I have used the 2200 with a Lyson system for about two years. Loved it. There was often a message that I was not using Epson inks. Sp what, just tell it to pound sand. NNo problem.
The only real problem I had was after a LOT of printing a message came on saying.... basically it was reaching its service life and needed to be serviced by Epson. where i live there is no Epson service and it became problematic and expensive to send away. In short the message meant the waste ink had to be serviced and reset. Eventually i found a program on the internet that reset it for free. One should really also have a waste ink tank.
Each start up of the printer reset the counters for ink out warning. Or just ignore...
Same thing happens with the 2400. In that case I actually found a reset on the Epson site.
