Oh I also forgot I keep the AF sensitivity at the middle setting and use Tracking priority.

Thanks Ray! The camers is no 1DmkIII, but its a good subsititue if you don't want to spend the money for a 1D. I'm selling mine soon just as soon as I get my 1D mkIV!
Great shots.. I just bought a 7d and I use a 400 5.6. Below is one of my shots from yesterday. I think I'm setting up the camera wrong. When I crop the image it is very grainy and soft focus. A friend of mine also bought a 7d and uses a 500 f4 and we set our cameras the same and he got the same results.
Can you give us some advise to achive results like you are getting?
We were using ai servo and had our cameras on tripods.
