This is great, Alan owns the location and concept, all he needed was a couple.
It took three years for the penny to drop,
Telepathy me thinks, Alan do you drink your coffee anywhere near Tony
Also saw some apes making out at the zoo have to say the posing was awesome, later that night I watched Frank singing and dancing in the rain, de'ya think he'll mind
I not taking anymore pictures until I can assure myself there all MINE I TELLS Ye
Maybe I'll get couples to just lick each other from now on, no copying

I thought that looked familiar... April 2006, same location:
Wow, when you put them side by side like that, #2 really sucks.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery.
Or is idea-stealing the highest form of douchebaggery? :-(
"Tony Hoffer: Often imitated, never duplicated."
I have done this shot as well. I am always part of a two person team. My partner posed the couple and I shot her pose from my angle. I saw the opportunity and took it. This pose has been shot many times...I guess Tony invented it?

I did this shot for an engagement session but the whole in- half out concept is old. Did this over a year ago:
Who really cares I think all this ripping stuff is getting blown out of proportion.
Even award winning shots get ripped...
Ideas come from somewhere too.
If you have to skills to execute it and perfect it... then ripp on who ever you want. Practice will not only improve your shots, but will allow you to think outside the box too.
bottom line, if you are affraid your concepts will be copied, then keep them to yourself and refrain from posting in a wedding forum. its a no brainer lol
This being my first year in wedding photography I had decided to stay away from the FM wedding forum for exactly this reason. There are many awesome photographers here posting some amazing photos (Maurice's shot is just stunning) and I didn't want to be influenced by any of them and rely mostly on my own creativity.
Sure some of my own shots probably are similar to other people's poses but I don't go about copying people. Good photographers know good poses and compositions when we see them and snap away. But it is a completely different thing to be following someone else's work and copying them shot for shot.

The gerneral rule is, if you've shared coffee cups for drinking or office floors for sleeping, copying is okay. The rest have to pay. PAY!
