Anyone here use smugmug and if so, did you notice it's down? I've had some issues with my ISP lately and just want to make sure the problem is not on my side.
Just visited my account at smugmug. Saw this message in red at the top of the page:
"The Sorcerers of Smug are adding new magic right now, so we're in window shopping mode. You can view all the photos you like, but for awhile you'll be unable to login, sell prints, add new photos or leave comments. Stay tuned! The SmugMug team."
No apology, no estimate of down-time, no offer of cutting the subscription rate for the down-time period, etc. Thank goodness I like to look at my own photos.
True they are great and I love them and I love how they communicate and also their support. Their service is great and I will certainly stay with them and highly recommend them but I am still a bit dissappointed about their quite frequent downtimes. There is no site I know of which provides 24/7 service which is that frequently down.
ham1: Thanks for your responsiveness. I find it refreshing. Further, the more I use SmugMug for my online gallery, the more I like it.
If I had one suggestion, I'd say add a function allowing galleries to do a random shuffle as an option for display. Although I like my own photos, seeing them in a different order might create more interest by the image juxtaposition, for myself and other viewers.
