Seems Heath Jeppson is getting a lot of flack from us FMers, including myself. I think ... I hope ... he's gotten the point by now and will post here once he's gained more experience and honed his skills to the point where he's developed a singular style.
Since this thread looks a little like an atempt to promote, I would have to say that whilst the site appears to be good, I find it looks dated, generaic and a little boring. This is not a great example of modern design in my opinion.
Most importantly, the site is not great on google rankings.

This was NOT an attempt to promote at all...I am already plenty busy...I actually just wanted to possibly help out someone that might be looking for a new website. Instead I was crucified for trying to help out. I just thought this would be a good way to introduce myself to the community and get to know a few of you here...needless to say I am not impressed. I found some of the posters to be bitter and mean spirited...doesn't say much about this community.

You have got to be kidding me with that logo on the bottom.
"Website design by"
Please tell me you did this for free for him in exchange for that link.
Also... Next time you spam a message board with your work... um.. don't. To be honest, that site is quite underwhelming.
It's also interesting to note that Heath's web site looks a lot like his client's web site. Talk about "cookie cutter" design!
Anyway, maybe it's time we laid off this guy. I'm sure he's had enough. Then again .....

Some people on this board take the "practice what you preach" maxim very seriously.
I appreciate what youre trying to do, but your posts do come accross as a little pompous, and if youre going to be giving out advice you really do need to impress people and know your stuff

Right. It's like correcting someone's spelling while making spelling and grammatical errors yourself.

Instead of bashing forum members who are honest enough to actually give objective opinions, if you're going to be a web site designer you may want to learn more about modern web site design. I'm sorry but I wouldn't hire you based on these examples. Not being mean at all, just objective.
It is actually a great group here. Lots of very smart people who really know their shit.
Introducing yourself by walking into the room and telling everybody you have advice to give them all, is usually a bad idea. I doesn't give a great first impression, even if you are the best in the room. And if you're not, then it it just makes you look like an arrogant idiot, instead of an arrogant ass hole.
Now while that is all very nasty sounding, I don't mean to offend anybody. I'm merely giving some advice.
