According to B&H the 24-70 is now $1350 ($1250@Abes of Maine) and the 70-200/2.8 IS is up to $1950 ($1789@Abes of Maine) as well...not sure if this was a recent increase but it seems higher than I remember.

The 800mm went up another $500.00 too. I think it's now more expensive than when it was originally announced. B & H and Adorama now at $11,499.00.
It was $11,999 when originally announced, I think. But it's weird that it dropped down to around $10,500 and is now climbing steadily up to almost where it started.
600/4 has gone from $7,600 yesterday to $8,300 today.
Just a sign of the times. Lay off part of your staff, build less product, (examples being the 5D2 & 50D) and raise the price to compensate. Lower sales but at a higher margin = the same bottom line. (or who knows)
Good heavens...I bought that 135 2.8 one year ago for $275 new. No one will pay $500 for that lens. Not when you can get a great used copy of the 135 2.0 for under $1000.
Lens prices are funny. I was in the market for a 15mm fisheye a few months ago and Amazon was selling one for $1300. I bought a perfect one used for $600.
