p.1 #1 · Lightroom not saving preferences!

Its really beginning to annoy me now - I put in a CF card or CD, or connect up an external harddrive and my computer slows down to a stop as LR opens to try and import the images.

I go into the preferences and uncheck the box that says to open up lightroom on inserting media and hit ok.

It'll work for a couple of days, then go back to doing it.

Any ideas? Its driving me mad!

Search google with your problem and add the word vista. There will probably be something in the adobe forums about it.

Vista's security policies can oblige it to sometimes 'forget' about some settings.

check your 'autoplay' preferences in your control panel - mine was doign that as well for a bit, but changed it back and it's all good now.

Thanks. I had the same problem as well. Adjusting autoplay settings in the control panel seemed to fix things.

this has been an issue since the upgrade to 2.4. Very annoying. Thanks for the fix.
