p.1 #1 · Did I get a good deal?

The girlfriend and I went on a local pawn shopping spree and I came across these....

Photogenic Powerlight 1500SL's

A set of three for 250.. They had been there close to a year and were originally 500. I got them at their lowest price... Good deal or just decent, I still have to pick up light stands and sync cables/transmitters tho... But hey I thought why not.... Hard to resist when they are right there in front of you...

Of course it's an awesome deal. 1500SL goes for $150-250 each on ebay. 3x600W, now go blind some people

Yeah, that will be a very nice set-up for you to start out with.

Even if you "move up" later, it is nice to have some cheaper equip around for times whren the stuff might be at risk. Like shooting near water, or around rowdy people, or when you have to be 500 feet away from the equip.

Have fun.

That's an awesome deal if they're all in working condition! Feel good about your purchase.

Thats above and eyond a good deal... I paid $800 for a pl 1500 and 2 pl 750's and felt like it was a good deal.. they will last and perform well for you... I have shot with Photogenics for a few years without a hitch and if I buy new lights anytime soon they will be the photogenics with remote contron... nothing else needed...
