p.1 #1 · LR Guru help needed

I have basically figured out how to process a large group of images.

When I have to go back through to "crop" for final image, is there anyway
to have LR preset to the size I want??

Currenlty I have to click to the size in the box for each image before I can crop.

Thanks in advance.

In the crop tool of the develop module if you click where it says "Original" (this is to the right of where it says Aspect) there will be a drop down that has presets for most standard crops and you can also save other aspects you may desire, although I think there may be a limit as to how many you can save.

Or ... you could save a User Development preset that only consists of the crop you want ..... or you could sync the crop from another image, both the aspect ratio and angle or individually.

OK....I went in and created the size I wanted (8x12)

But when I open it, I see it in the list.....but until I click on it, how do I know
that is the size it will crop to??

How do I do a "user development" for the size 8x12??

thanks for you assistance butchM.....!!

8:12 is the same ratio as 1:1.5 or 2:3 (one of those is built into LR) and it's the same as full frame on most DSLRs.

If you're shooting with a 2:3 DSLR, you could just hold the shift key as you grab a corner to crop -- the shift key makes the ratio remain constant.
