p.1 #1 · Nest visit 6/26/09 Garnet Rd.

Once nesting on a utility pole just a short ways from this nest (about 4 years ago and one good fire) this great pair of ospreys now even has a live tree growing in their nest. This new well, four year old, nest has been doing great since placed by some collage kids for a project back the years counting about 4. In this time, they have had triplets twice and are taking care of twins this seasons. Located on Garnet Rd. in North Falmouth they have many eyes on them, as their nest pole is pretty close to the road. Great spot to watch. Posted from URL may be slow opening.

Lou,

this is for sure a special set. The added tree growing sure does add a few good laughs. One has to wonder what's going through mom's mind in regards to that.

Wonderful update & behavioral set & some wonderful BIFs at that.

Thanks Lil and I would say every nest I watch is special to me be it an eagle or the osprey as I have learned so much about both these raptors just by being with them and watching. I'll tell you a camera is one thing but there is nothing like a good scope and a first hand look like your in the nest with them. Many times I have though of going to Digiscoping with a good set up but the resolution was not there then but may be now as the cameras have come a long way in the point & shoot dept.

It looks like you were fighting the weather for these nice photos.

Thank you Dick and you bet they are all something else, the Osprey I mean not my photos I enjoy watching very much and the photos come second. Good part about the newer cameras is I used to have to write everything down on a pad for info later but now its all in the camera. Lot better that way.

I guess the white sky was your tip off hey Moris little haze that day as I recall. Seems we have been having a lot like that this summer. Thanks much for the look
