Thanks!
Yeah, less Polaroid-y and more painterly.
Interesting filters to work with. I have yet to take the time to modify their effects selectively within an image, but it certainly offers additional control. Especially since the version I have exports to LR as a TIFF and not to PS as a layer.
More to explore.

ahhhahahhhhahhhhhrggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!

was the actual noise i made on seeing the border effect. it actually makes me want to cry.

to be fair i was impressed by the image for both microseconds before the splotchy border effect took ALL my attention.

Can I ask why?

As to the photo, I like it. I can't decide if it's fractionally overdone or not, which means probably not. Limits, borderlines and edges of acceptability are cool. Unlike the edge effect applied here.

I get distracted quite a bit by the border effect too - but I do like the PP on the shot. It gives the viewer something to think about - painting or photo?

Thx, Silver. So sorry to cause you pain. The border effect is part of the filter, but I can certainly rework it and remove it. I wonder if the matting heightened the effect. I'll see if I can do a repost after a bit more work at home.

NumberFive,
Thx for commenting.
I guess that's two strong no's on the border.
Good to have the feedback.

I usually dont go for these artistic filters, but I am pleased how this one works on this particular composition.

A late entry, I like the effect but must agree (perhaps not quite so strongly) with NumberFive and Silver about the border.
