p.1 #1 · losing sharpness after convert RAW

Hi,
I am trying to take photos using RAW and I really like the quality of the images. However, I've noticed that after converting the RAW format to JPEG, I lost the sharpness of the photo. Is this normal or there is some setting I need to change in DPP?
I shoot RAW with 11MEG in size and I use Canon Digital Photo Profressional. The JPEG image looked very soft, but the RAW image is really sharp.
Please help.

You will find that viewing a jpeg in DPP which is a RAW viewer will cause it to look soft. Try viewing the same image in Canon's Zoombrowser and see if it doesn't look fine to you then I too remember this situation when first starting out!
