Honestly should be one, but I spent some time with a lens I never thought I'd be shooting natural light with: MP-E and my tripod.

The fense provided a nice steady platform for the subject, but try as I would, the fly was always in a spot where I got some wire. That was FF, this was cropped to 1.6:

Still lots of details in the crop ... love the colors natural light has.

Seriously ... I take a bath in sketer spray, but it wont stop the heard.These guys keep getting worse every year!

Nice job on the fly, Eric. One advantage to the drought we're having in TX is there are NO mossies. Like that, but would like a good rain even more.

Water table is up her in Michigan ... guess that's good for the skeaters too.

I was using the tripod Kurt. Not a bad tool if you look in spots that allow for its use rather then find the bug and then try to position the tripod.
