p.1 #1 · Kelly & Tom wedding

Last weekend I got ti shoot Kelly and Toms wedding in Kidderminster.

We had a typical British summers day again, it started out fine, then cloudy, then a few spots of rain and then brilliant sunshine. Thankfully they all happened in the right order so they didn't affect any aspect of the day.

The ceremony was held at Far Forest church on the outskirts of Wyre forest , the the reception was at Rock village hall. Both venues were set in the beautiful lush green country side which complimented Kelly and Toms relaxed, informal wedding.

The party lasted well into the night with the groomsmen hogging the karaoke microphones most of the night with varying degrees of success!

Cheers

Martyn

#1 is a not so flattering expression for the bride. I don't understand the bright orange? 6 is my fav.

Cheers jeremy,

the orange was just the colour of the room she was getting ready in, it wasn't a back drop or anything just the walls.

I love the exposure in 7. I've yet to achieve something similar.

Quite nice images. I really liked #6. The last one is really nice too, until all of a sudden I thought of broccoli. And then I didn't feel so good about it (but it's not your fault they lit the whole tree up in green.

Maybe just a bit of noise reduction on #1. Still love the look, but maybe just a tiny bit less noise.

I think maybe the light is a bit easier in the UK for this type of shot as we never get overhead sunshine, anyway, i just exposed for the sky, the ground and the couple were about 3 stops underexposed but i exported 2 versions from my raw editor, one for the sky, one for the foreground and knitted them together.

I like 6 too, im trying to get a lot closer to couples this year so im shooting a lot of my stuff with the 16-35 mm or the wide end of the 24-70. you seem to pick up a lot more detail this way.

I hadn't thought of broccoli until you mentioned it but I can see it quite clearly now!

I added a load of noise in 1 because i thought it looked too clean! so maybe i over did it, i will re-process and less.

Thanks for the comments.

I'm glad to hear that! It helps explain why I can't get something similar straight out of my camera.
