p.1 #1 · Adobe CS2 under Vista 64

Any one have Adobe CS2 running under Vista 64? I loaded CS2 on my new Vista 64 computer. Each app gives an error of user name or serial number invalid, Adobe support does not cover CS2 under 64 bit Os's. But this is a well known error. There is an elaborate routine for XP 64, but nothing on Vista 64. The XP routine requires manual removal of 32 registry files, before I get into this I'd like to know if it works for Vista.
I should break down and spend the upgrade $ for CS4 but after replacing 2 computers and a TV this spring $ are a little short. I do medical photography, web and design work so I want CS4 Design Premium. So about the cheapest I can get by with is $699, since for some reason my medical center no longer can get education software, have been rejected from 2 places I have purchased from before.

Just a drag

I'm not positive on this as I moved from Vista to Win7 fairly quickly but I think the answer to your question is no. In Win7 you have the option of loading it in compatibility mode (XP, Vista, etc) but as an OS it's still in the testing stage.

I came to the same conclusion.
Just sent Adobe $ for CS4 Design Premium. I was tempted to load Win7 on the new computer, but didn't want to depend on a prerelease.
Thanks for the response

FWIW, I am finding Win7 to be very stable & altho' I initially trialed it only on my tablet, I liked it so much I've installed the 64bit version on my main laptop. That said though, I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do that. I'm going to upgrade to CS4 shortly too.
