Hi Chris,
I think these are wonderful shots. My only C&C would be around the positioning in the frame in the first two which has already been stated.
Nice to see your work and would like to see more.

These are some outstanding captures of wildlife in really strong poses. I'm not sure I agree with the feedback you've had on framing (but will state right here that the people who have offered that feedback are a lot better photographers that I am!).
No.1: I like the fact that you have included the whole of the ripple pattern to the left of the duck, I like the pose and the DOF.
No.2: Not much I can say apart from bravo!
No.3: I like this a lot, love the diagonal across the frame made by the subject matter, the colours are almost too much but who am I to criticise nature.
No.4 to 6 are also good shots, but the first three are my favourites.
I feel guilty to say anything other than what an incredible selection of images these are Chris. I will offer some of my 'nit' pickiness comments as it seems you may be after the littlest of things that may have been overlooked.
1 Really beautiful with the water ripples nicely separating the foreground from the BG. As noted whites are appearing hot. Shifting the spacing that there is from the edge of the reflected head to the top of the image would be enough for me to improve the tightness at the top.
2 I would be ecstatic to get a wood duck IF. Perhaps the angle on this one is not the best as I would like to see it more coming toward me. Opening up the shadows a bit more under the wing I think would be very helpful and 'unweight' this side of the image.
3 Absolutely gorgeous bluebird with a most beautiful wingspread. I think the brightness level on the flower and stem is too bright, just a lessening of that would be helpful.
4 I like the pile of woodies but honestly I don't see a particular area of sharpness on this one but it is darn pretty.
5 I like everything about this excepth the blood reddish/orange water droplets, seems unreal to me?
6 Captivating image, great draw to the eyes, love the BG and foreground. There is one distracting blade of grass sticking up in the middle of its back.
7 That was really difficult please don't find those comments negative because I would easily have been extremely impressed with this level of presentation. Just my nits Fantastic PP work and imagery Chris, I like them all and they all look good together
Continued success to you and your inner drive for perfection.
Karl
