Ain't no sense in posting a picture of the lens you love without showin' why you love it. A snapper of my old* macro rig AND what I did/do with it...

If you've got any of these three, you are cookin' at medium-long FL: The Chubby, The Snout and The Redeemer.

(The reason I nicknamed 200 f/2 IS "The Redeeemer" is that compared to many of its latest EOS gear offerings, Canon seem to have managed to develop an excellent top notch product. No ifs, buts, flaws and limitations found with it yet, other than its (still) excessive price. Granted, the EF 800L might be yet another "redeemer" product, however, I have no experience with it, and most probably never will nor care to. )

Very nice, Gert-Jan. So how do you mount that Vespa on your 5DMkII ?
A special adapter made by Moto-Guzzi ?

Thanks, Peter

Since this is a Gear-talk forum, I also must share how the lens was used. Manual focus at MFD, transparent 50mm extension tube originally intended for jam, and daylight through open door. The African Daisy was photographed the day before, with the gem itself of course.

My hat off to your craft, Anders.

Here is a brace of loaned lenses. Shot with my own 50 f/1.2 @ f/1.2.
Candle lit lens fronts, gentle area light on the background.

Kewl, you funny.
Victor, that's a great looking lens you've got in your bed.
(The Waxwing is a beautiful specimen too, rendered as clear as a bell.)

More bars in more places.

These are my favorites at the moment...I've saved up for a long time to be able to afford these three. The "holy trinity" of crop zooms (well, technically it'd have to be the IS model of the 70-200).

I think you may be better off with the non-IS version.......much cheaper, yet likely sharper.

True...I should have added that this point is subject to debate. I mainly use my lens for sports, so the lack of IS isn't a huge issue. Plus, it is the highest-rated Canon zoom lens on FM, if I'm not mistaken.
