very nice one, quite original...
you said something about not being creative anymore with train pictures...

Guy

Thank you Guy, appreciate you taking a look. Well, speaking of being creative, it tickles me that I get lucky from time to time.

I've never given trains a second glance until I started looking at your pictures - they're great

This image looks like a dramatic still from a movie. Very engaging.

Thank you Mocca, appreciate it.

Also the addition of the small stories is delightful

I posted a 'long' story one time with some photos, a guy asked me "do I really have to read all this crap?"

Super shot, Jack. Very dramatic and engaging. Wish I'd done that.

Thank Kerry. I'm glad the drama came through, that was really what did it for me

I am not a train guy but this shot makes me re-think my position. Nice capture.

Thank you Eric, appreciate your comments. Here's a different perspective, trains from the air. Totally unrelated, but since you fly.......

Love this shot but might be even better as a B&W conversion. Take care. Bob

Good stuff, I have done the same thing, but the results, on film, were terrible. Yours is very good indeed!

I echo / add-to the above praise (and I do like trains -- a guy thing?! :o).

I'd like to (also -- not an either/or) see an image made at (given your guess of 250mm)
say 180?mm -- i.e., longer train, if it continued roughly at same orientation. For that,
the extra vertical image could be cropped to yield a train-long panorama. I just like how
those edges of the cars are bringing along some light highlights, and think also some more
reach before the train might've been good.
Choo-choo, <shoot/shoot/shoot/...>

Appreciate your thoughts, sounds like a great idea. This train was only the four cars (or was it five), but maybe it would work better.

Very nice Jack! Kinda looks like a movie scene - something with Charles Bronson maybe...
